Spend 60–90 minutes in one or two areas rather than trying to cover the entire garden. The convenient station for Shinjuku Gate is Shinjuku-gyoemmae Station. Check the seasonal closing time and entry rules before visiting.

Allow roughly ¥1,000–¥1,500. Counter seating or mobile ordering can make timing easier for a solo visitor.

14:00 — Tokyo Metropolitan Government observatory

The observatory is in the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building in Nishi-Shinjuku. Admission is generally free, but opening rooms, hours and closures vary. Allow 30–45 minutes plus any queue.

15:30 — Finish at a day spa

Thermae-Yu Shinjuku is near Shinjuku-sanchome Station. Prices vary by day and special dates, and late-night surcharges or admission rules may apply. Check the current official price and tattoo policy before entering.
