Start near JR Ueno Station and spend about 30 minutes walking through the public park before adding paid attractions.

10:40 — Ueno Toshogu Shrine
Visit the shrine before considering the paid inner area or a goshuin seal. Reception hours and charges can change by season, so use the official notice on the day.

12:00 — Lunch around Ueno
Allow roughly ¥1,200–¥1,800. Eating before the peak or choosing a counter-seat restaurant may reduce waiting.
13:10 — Ginza Line to Asakusa
Take the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line from Ueno to Asakusa. Check the current fare and route before boarding.
13:30 — Sensoji Temple
Visit the main hall first. If you want a goshuin, follow the current temple guidance for the reception location and hours. Allow 60–75 minutes, and expect larger crowds on holidays and special festival days.
